Minimum Admission requirement for Bachelors of Management Studies (BMS)
To be eligible for admission to the B.M.S. Degree Course, a candidate must have passed the H.S.C. Examination from the Maharashtra Board of Higher Secondary Education or an equivalent examination, or hold a Diploma in any Engineering branch with a duration of two or three years after S.S.C., conducted by the Board of Technical Education, Maharashtra State, or an equivalent examination.
Candidates must secure a minimum of 45% marks for the general category (in one attempt) and a minimum of 40% marks for the reserved category (in one attempt). No college is permitted to conduct any form of entrance test; admissions are strictly based on merit, adhering to the reservation policy set by the Government of Maharashtra.
When preparing the merit list, weightage will be given to students from the Arts, Commerce, and Science streams at the 12th standard level, as follows: Commerce – 45% Arts – 25% Science – 25% Diploma in Engineering and others – 5% Colleges will accept and process applications separately by stream, and the merit list will be displayed according to the reservation policy established by the Government of Maharashtra.
The merit list will be prepared and displayed by stream.
If no applications are received under the “Diploma in Engineering and other Category” or if seats remain vacant in that category after all merit lists/forms are exhausted, those vacant seats must be transferred to the Commerce Stream.
If no applications are received from any stream, the vacant seats will be distributed equally between the remaining two streams.
After the first merit list is released, any vacant seats in one stream will be distributed equally among the other two streams. If there is an odd number of vacant seats in one stream, the single seat will be allocated to the Commerce Stream. If there are no applications from the two streams, all vacant seats from those streams will be transferred to the third stream.
Step (d) will be repeated for the following merit lists until all.
