The National Service Scheme (NSS) focuses on raising awareness about community work and nation-building through a variety of activities, such as blood donation camps, adult literacy programs, rallies, awareness campaigns, and voluntary work for NGOs, among others.
The primary goals of this cell are to prevent sexual harassment and to enhance the overall well-being of female students, as well as teaching and non-teaching women staff at the College. Additionally, it aims to raise social awareness about women’s issues, particularly concerning gender discrimination.
The Gymkhana Committee promotes both indoor and outdoor games. Our college is well-equipped and features a spacious playground. While academics are crucial for mental development, physical development is equally important for overall growth. Recognizing this, the college has established a sports committee to provide ample opportunities for students to cultivate their sportsmanship spirit.
The student council played a vital role in supporting the college across various activities, both academic and administrative. It served as a bridge between the institution and its stakeholders. Additionally, the student council contributed to maintaining discipline and organizing events like the annual day, sports day, and competitions such as Rangoli, Mehndi, T-Shirt Painting, and Nail Painting.
The college library committee was established to oversee its operations. Simply having a vast collection of books is not sufficient; it is essential to effectively communicate this information to the users. To achieve this, the library committee organized various sessions to educate students about the different types of books, reference materials, and other study resources available at the college. Additionally, the committee supported students by offering books through the ‘Book Bank Scheme’ of the University of Mumbai.
The Life Long Learning unit was established within the Department of Lifelong Learning and Extension at the University of Mumbai. Prof. Krishnkant Pandey, an extension work teacher, took on the role of leading the unit.
The cell organizes workshops, seminars, career guidance sessions, and various placement activities for students. To assist outgoing students with their placements, the cell hosts a job fair.
The Alumni Association serves as a connection between the college and its former students. It encourages alumni to actively contribute to the growth and development of the institution by participating in events such as Blood Donation Drives, Career Placement initiatives, Industrial Visits, and the Annual Function.
It showcases students’ creative writing and serves as an annual record of the events and activities involving both staff and students at the college.
Examinations are conducted according to the guidelines set by the University of Mumbai.
The college has appointed an admissions committee that handles all matters related to admissions.
Colleges have a separate anti-ragging cell. Students involved in any form of ragging will face severe penalties in accordance with UGC guidelines.
Students should refrain from engaging in any activities, whether on or off campus, that could disrupt the administration or negatively impact the college’s reputation.
The Unfair Means Committee operates according to the university guidelines.
According to circulation no. VA/235/98 dated 03/07/1998 regarding 0.119 for granting of terms, a minimum attendance of 75% in theory, practicals, and tutorials (where applicable) is required, based on the total number of lectures, practicals, and tutorials held during the term.
