Minimum Admission Requirement for B.Sc. (IT)
To be eligible for admission to the Bachelor of Science in Information Technology program, a candidate must have completed the XII Standard Examination of the Maharashtra Board of Higher Secondary Education or an equivalent examination, with Mathematics as one of the subjects. The candidate should have achieved a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate, or 40% for those in the Reserved category, in a single sitting.
OR
Candidates who have completed a Diploma in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Technology, Information Technology, Electrical, Electronic and Allied Branches, Mechanical and Allied Branches, or Civil and Allied Branches of Engineering after S.S.C. (10th grade) are eligible for direct admission to the Second Year of the B.Sc. (IT) degree course. The Diploma must be recognized by the Board of Technical Education or another recognized Government body. A minimum of 45% aggregate marks is required for Open category candidates, and 40% for Reserved category candidates.
AND
Students with a post-H.S.C. Diploma in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Technology, Information Technology, or related fields will also qualify for direct admission to the Second Year of B.Sc. (IT). Again, the Diploma must be recognized by the Board of Technical Education or another recognized Government body.
Mode of Admission
Admissions to the program will be based strictly on merit, while adhering to statutory reservations for various categories. There is no “Management Quota” in any University Departments. The admission process for Government, Private aided, unaided, Minority Aided, and minority unaided colleges affiliated with this University must be followed in accordance with the office circular.
